Our Support Services

Our services are delivered online via telehealth by a trained peer supporter (please check out our meet the team page for more). While we welcome all people, the communities we focus primarily on serving are limited by the lived/ living experience of our current team. If a community you belong to is not currently specifically supported, please reach out to us and let us know. We can explore options for you to receive support with our current team, or put you on our waitlist to make sure you will be one of the first to know when your community joins our list of communities to whom we can offer more specialised lived/ living experience based support.

There are six hands in varying shades of pale purple, pale blue and bright purple, forming a circle around a bright blue love heart.

1:1 peer support sessions are tailored to and guided by individual clients, focusing on the impacts of marginalised identity when the world is not always accessible, safe, inclusive or built for people like us. Sessions may cover struggles including;

  • Social issues (e.g. exclusion, rejection, ostracism, isolation)

  • stigma & discrimination

  • Learning to navigate the world with your marginalised identity

  • identity

  • Intersectionality of multiple marginalised identities (e.g. disabled & LGBTQIA+)

Community Connection Groups

Group sessions are divided by age (e.g. young people 12-18, adults 18+) and provide a community space to come together, connect, talk about common issues and individual occurrences, and celebrate wins.

  • discounted rate for existing 1:1 clients

  • each group needs a minimum of 5 participants to go ahead

  • each group session limited to a maximum of 10 participants in total

Community Debriefs

Our Community Debriefs are free virtual sessions that happen once a month and are open to everyone in Australia, though we focus on one key group and registration is essential. It is a facilitated, supported space to come together with others in your community, debrief challenges and the mental health impacts of big occurrences in the community, celebrate wins and explore possibilities for future.

  • Grounded in Principles of Peer Support

Our staff generally have some element of lived/ living experience. Support services are provided by someone with similar or shared lived/living experience who is trained to support and connect based on shared understanding and mutuality, among other things.

  • Trauma Informed

We operate from the assumption that everyone may have experienced trauma and prioritise ensuring safety.

  • Strengths Based

We focus on your strengths instead of emphasising your weaknesss

  • Human Rights Based

We believe in the inherent value of all individuals and work to ensure everyone’s human rights are realised and honoured (as much as we can).
